Ang isang domestic worker na Filipina ay nag-file ng isang kriminal na reklamo sa pulisya ng Hong Kong laban sa kanyang employer dahil sa di-umano’y pang-aabuso sa kanya sa maraming pagkakataon.
Si Jubie Sabarillo, 50, ay kinumbinsi ng Philippine Labor Attaché na si Jalilo dela Torre na ituloy ang kanyang kaso matapos niyang malaman ang pinaghihinalaang pang-aabuso, iniulat ng sunwebhk.com.
Sinabi ni Sabarillo na siya ay pisikal na inabuso ng sampung beses ng kanyang employer na si Mrs Lam sa isang apartment sa Kennedy Road sa Mid Levels sa pagitan ng Hunyo 10, 2018 at Abril 4 ngayong taon.
Iniulat ng manggagawa ang isang talaarawan kung saan isinulat niya ang petsa at oras ng bawat pinaghihinalaang pag atake.
Kasunod ng payo ng isang kaibigan, tinawagan ni Sabarillo ang pulisya matapos ang huling pag-atake noong Abril 4. Nang dumating ang mga opisyal sa patag upang magsagawa ng pagsisiyasat, iniulat na hiniling nila sa manggagawa na magpasiya kung gusto niya silang arestuhin ang kanyang employer, o kung siya sa halip ay umuwi sa Pilipinas sa lalong madaling panahon.
Sinabi ng manggagawa na dahil stress siya at pagod, sinabi niya sa pulisya na gusto niya nalang umuwi.
Pagkatapos ay hiniling ng isang pulisya na mag-sign siya ng isang dokumento. Sinabi niya na ang dokumento ay tungkol sa kanyang desisyon na huwag i-push ang mga singil at umuwi sa lalong madaling panahon.
Nang tanungin ni Dela Torre ang manggagawa kung bakit nilagdaan niya ang waiver na walang abogado, sinabi ni Sabarillo na nalilito siya at hindi alam kung ano ang sasabihin kapag hiniling ng mga opisyal na gumawa ng desisyon.
Naniwala si Dela Torre sa kanya na ituloy ang kanyang kaso at tinulungan siyang mag-ayos ng medikal na pagsusuri at mag-file ng isang kriminal na reklamo laban sa employer.
Ang Police Criminal Investigation Division ay sinisiyasat ang kaso.
