أعلنت ألمانيا تمسكها بالحظر الذي تفرضه لتصدير أسلحة إلى المملكة العربية السعودية، ورفضت طلبًا بريطانيًا بهذا الصدد، وذلك عقب لقاء جمع وزير الخارجية البريطاني “جيريمي هانت” مع نظيره اﻷلماني “هايكو ماس” أمس، اﻷربعاء، حسبما نقل موقع فرانس24.
وطبقًا لصحيفة الجارديان، جاء الرفض ردًا على خطاب أرسله وزير الخارجية البريطاني إلى نظيره اﻷلماني قبل اللقاء حذر فيه تأثير الحظر اﻷلماني على “المصداقية اﻷوروبية” وجهود تحقيق السلام في اليمن، مطالبًا باستثناء المشاريع الدفاعية الكبيرة من الحظر.
وأوضح الجانب اﻷلماني أن أي تغييرات في موقفها “ستعتمد على التطورات في النزاع اليمني وما إذا تم تنفيذ ما اتُفق عليه في محادثات السلام في ستوكهولم”.
كانت ألمانيا أعلنت وقف تصدير السلاح إلى السعودية في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني الماضي بعد مقتل الصحفي السعودي جمال خاشقجي داخل القنصلية السعودية في أسطنبول.
وفي المقابل، وعلى الرغم من انتقادها العنيف للمملكة بعد مقتل خاشقجي، لم تعلق بريطانيا صادراتها من اﻷسلحة إلى السعودية، وهو الموقف الذي وصفته لجنة من اللوردات أواخر اﻷسبوع الماضي بأنه يضع بريطانيا على الجانب الخطأ من القانون اﻹنساني.
وعلى جانب آخر، أكد الرئيس الصيني “شي جين بينج” لرئيس البرلمان اﻹيراني “علي لارجاني” أن تطلع الصين إلى تطوير علاقاتها مع إيران لم يتغير، وذلك قبل يوم واحد من زيارة ولي العهد السعودي محمد بن سلمان إلى الصين، حسبما نقلت وكالة رويترز.
