Two businessmen in India had to get specialists to partially dismantle their car when a six-foot long cobra managed to hide in the bodywork of their BMW.
On Thursday, the two men from Tiruppur were driving to Madurai when they ran over an adult cobra. The men assumed the snake was dead and continued driving, but later saw that it was alive and had made its way into the front of the car, The News Minute reported.
The men got out of the car and called for fire services, who searched the car and found nothing. The men then called their car’s service center, who told them that their BMW was so safe that “not even an ant could enter it”.
However, when the men saw the snake again they decided to take the car to the service center, where staff called a professional snake handler.
A video shows how the cars front wheels were removed, the bonnet raised and the front bumper pulled apart to let the snake handler grab hold of the snake’s tail and pull it out.
Authorities were informed of the situation and the snake was released into the wild.
