Another local official was killed in the Philippines on Wednesday, marking the fourth time in just over a week.
According to Philippines website Rappler, which cited local authorities, vice-mayor Al Rashid Mohammad Ali of Sapa-Sapa municipality was killed while traveling in a car with his wife, when an assailant walked up to the vehicle’s window and shot the official three times. The suspect was able to flee the scene by motorcycle.
16 local officials have been killed since Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte took office and began a brutal anti-drug campaign.
In related news, officials in Sri Lanka are saying they will take a page from Duterte’s playbook, ending a 50-year moratorium on executions to “replicate the success” of the Philippines’ drug war.
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena told his cabinet he “was ready to sign death warrants” of drug offenders, The Guardian reported, citing a spokesperson.
“From now on, we will hang drug offenders without commuting their death sentences,” he said.

Forest Isk, Welk, if u are just a worker or just an employee of the company, u are one of a slave and will still be a slave forever. If u are a business mentor a sleeping giant like Rothschild and Rockefeller, u are WOW or SOSSY and for sure u don’t have any single time for social media. Still u are a slave of ur bosses.
Forest Isk, that means, they prefer those Filipinos workforce than ur countrymen people, which are luck of PR and skills. They are working, not begging or asking for asylum. Better a slave than a strong beggar in the street or a lazy refugees.
Ei Blas stupid pare your people are like slaves in Dubai and Saudi working for 2000 AED per month running away from the monster
Ei Blas I have not opened my mouth and I did not say I’m taking your president away.that blasphemous person

Good decision Mr President, but give second chances, if he is continue second offender found to be guilty,we support your decision of hanging the culprit..
Forest Isk and who are those official that was killed..?.i am a filipino and i think i know more than you about philippines…one most important thing for me is to save the future of my young countrymen than to preserved those drug lords or drugs personalities… You know why bro….in times of death of innocents people why paid medias didnt have a report on it..?..but in times of drug lords or drug protector officials will be killed it seems that they dont stop on screaming… And there you can hear the presence of human rights so is it fair enough? What do you think? Are those innocents people dosent have or are not in titled of human rights….?

Bad news my comments are based on the reports are you saying this official was not killed and it’s a lie
What do you know about the Philippines to comment something like that? Let me remind you or better, inform you my friend. Not everything being shown in the TV are true, the political party defeated by our president is the liberal party, and they have powerful allies around the world that are manipulating the media for a long time.
A president that’s busy killing his people.remove hat monster before he finishes the whole population of Philippines.mark my word he will not stop when you start killing there are no brakes it becomes a game that’s addictive
The spate of killings appear to play into the scenario of involvement by "certain external forces" that seek a turnaround in Duterte’s rapprochement with Beijing, and "domestic forces" out to prevent the course of the trial and conviction against former president Simon Benigno Aquino and his associates on charges of plunder. I see more deaths ahead, as the drug war regains momentum, as a policy effort for rescuing the nation from the negative impact of narcotics on politics and public administration. The case of Cebu City and its incumbent mayor Tomas Osmena brings to mind an administration so long suspected of protecting drug lords and using the police Hunter Teams for murdering meth drug sellers that compete with existing drug proliferation territories. The deaths of police sergeants Adonis Dumpit and Ruel Mabano, who were both former bodyguards of the mayor, and who were former members of the Hunter Team, fueled speculation that someone is trying to cover up Osmena’s criminal tracks. The mayor is reputed to be less favored at winning another mandate in the May 2019 balloting.
Who knows who are really doing the killings? A lone assassin does not sound like the military or police is involved !
