An underground walkway near a Singapore railway station has become a popular rendezvous for foreign domestic workers, but their displays of affection have upset some Singaporeans.
One 45-year-old resident wrote to the Shin Min Daily News to complain that some couples were displaying too much affection, leading reporters from the paper to carry out their own investigation at the Ang Mo Kio MRT Station.
The reporters discovered at least four pairs of migrant worker lovers cuddling and kissing. However, residents had mixed views about the public displays of affection, with most saying it was not causing a problem in the community.
Residents told the reporters they see maids meeting and spending Sundays in a nearby park or in the tunnel. They added that as long as they did not block the way their freedom to enjoy their rest day should be respected.

wow .only maid u can see.singaporean also doing that in public places.specially inside mrt they dnt care to the people around them important their happy kissing hugging.u must focus the maid no food and delay salary.

It’s an unfortunate example of ethnic and racial prejudice in Singapore. No one complains about ex-pats showing signs of affection. Hmmm….
I think this complainant never experience going holiday in many places around the world, why don’t you focus on how you treat your helper right inside your home wether you are the good employer or not. Not only maids showing to much affection in public here in your country different nationalities and local as well. Stop looking down maid because most of us especially filipinas attained diplomas back home.
