A Filipina maid was fired after her employer slipped on a wet floor and was taken to hospital in Hong Kong on Monday. The 49-year-old Filipina had just mopped the floor at her employer’s home in Kowloon’s Tsim Sha Tsui on Monday, the Sing Tao Daily reported.
The female employer, who suffered a head injury, reported the case to police and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. After being discharged from hospital, she fired the maid.
Cheung Kit-man, the chairman of the Hong Kong Employment Agencies Association, said if employers were not happy with their domestic workers they should issue a verbal warning or send a warning letter before dismissing them.
is it the fault of the Filipino helper? She the employer must see to it if the floor is not wet
she saw the helper just doing her job. this is not the fault of the helper, this is the big fault of the employer herself. try to think of it employers! dont pass your faults and your craziness to the helpers!

Why some employers are like that? The maid did her job it’s not her fault if the employer slip on the wet floor.the employer knows that the floor is wet why she’s not careful ????????????????????
I think that is not the maid fault, why the employer keep walking when she knows that the floor is still wet.

I think hk people have to much pressure, ppl r looking for perfection,, although they didn’t explain how n y about the whole story,, I m sure the helper felt bad enough that her MADAM fell because of the wet floor,, Relax ppl think n send more positive energy to each other,,
Employer have rights to fire for whatever reason they have and so with thier helper，the immigration should have fair conditions about termination and breaking contracts, but as always helper go through hard times finding new jobs.and employers can find new ones easily, some employers can hire maid by using different name in the family so if one got bad record from the immigration they can use thier daughter’s or son’s name to hire a new one and the abuse goes on and on.kwawang mga katulong gagastos ng malaki tas bastos at wlang kwentang amo ang babagsakan.

maarti ang mployer sinusunod cguro nya ang gawain ng katulong kung talaga malinis kaya nadulas..Katulad yan sa mama ng mployer ko sa Lebanon panay lakad ng lakad ang matanda kahit basa ang sahig kasi chinicheck nya ang gawain ko kaya nadulas napilay Hindi nakalakad isang linggo….

i remember 2012 sa tungchung nuon, kasalukuyan akong nagma-mop ng floor, sabi kosa 8yrs old na anak ni amo “PLEASE DON‘T WALK ON THAT SIDE BECAUSE THE FLOOR IS WET” sabi ko, naririnig pa ang magulang ng bata…pero sutil ang bata masayang naglalakad at pinipili pa yung side na katatpos lang na mop…ayaw lumakad sa dry space gusto sa wet,,,Nadulas nga!…taz, Ako ang sinisi ng Mother ng nanay…bakit daw basa ang tubig!…sa engIish ganiti pagkasabi niya…“ BECAUSE THE WATER IS TOO WET!” hahahaha! hindi nalang ako kumibo kahit galit na galit siya….napatawa nalang ako ng lihim….sabi ng isip ko, Meron bang tubig na dry!!!…hahahaha
