Twenty-two people were arrested, aged between 25 and 60, by police in an unlicensed bar targeting mainly Filipino customers in Central in Hong Kong Island on Friday.
At around 6pm, police officers from the anti-triad squad in Central district raided an apartment on 12-13 Li Yuen Street East and arrested a Hong Kong man surnamed Yeung, 57, for selling and possessing liquor for sale without a license, Sing Tao Daily reported.
Three Indian men, two Filipino men and 16 Filipino women were arrested on suspicion of drinking on an unlicensed premises.
Police officers confiscated 200 bottles of beer valued at approximately HK$4,000 (US$514) and a cash register during the raid, Oriental Daily reported.

Strict law but still this store is standing and selling.. If I am the costumer, thirsty and all. I would grab whatever is convenient. How will I know if it’s illegal or not if the store is anyhow, open to sell. Since these kind of selling is very common anywhere along central, I would grab anything to fill my thirst. Lesson learned, this newsfeed gives me the hint somehow.
May this serve as a reminder to fellow Filipinos living/working in HK. If the locals strictly observe and respect the law of Hong Kong, the more we should because we are foreigners and we’re here to make a living for our families back home and not to have some fun, even making a lot of noise and naughtiness especially when employers are out of town during holidays.
Why don’t they raid Chung king mansion, so many shops are selling liquor n one can even sit there and drink

But maybe the raid is also good for others especially those who don’t behave outside maybe it will teach a lesson to some that always spend their free time in those places..I met a fellow helper one time in my friends boarding house,,she always go to the bar not just to have fun but also to ruin herself for going to any guy that will pay her for sex!!I despise women or lady doing that way just to have easy money!
