In an attempt to prevent maids from being exploited, the consulate generals of the Philippines and Indonesia, in Hong Kong, are to share blacklists of employers who have records of abusing their domestic workers.
Complaints against employers are usually filed by domestic helpers and their acquaintances, or by employment agencies or neighbours of the employer families, Ming Pao Daily reported, citing the Indonesian consul for manpower and labour, Iroh Baroroh. Five people are now on the blacklist due to cases related to abuse, sexual harassment or unpaid wages.
Two Hong Kong women said in the report that they had been barred from hiring maids by the Filipino and Indonesian consulate generals, respectively. They complained that it was too easy for maids to put their employers on the blacklists.
However, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Employment Agencies Association, Cheung Kit-man, said the consulates only blacklisted employers against whom there was ample evidence of abuse.

Being a servant we always admire a good master… We do not only see their bad treatment but also their good treatments to us… So, we just want a fair treatment…
We as domestic .. We have the right to complain once the employer are abusing us. We won’t make any false stories.. To put our employer on block list.. That’s not reasonable . right?
As. Human we have the right .. To protect our self against.. Abusive employers … Specially during off day they’re asking u to work before going out on your off and come back . I think its not fair . some employers are not following the rules /law/ I have heard many stories from my fellow dh… Too so pity of them.too… Were too patient when working .
Some employers do the verbal abuse to their dh… Or else starve them . ������� not all the Chinese people are bad some only … Are too much…. Must teach them lesson �

You are working u need enough food to have energy to work.. Or if she don’t want ask her to put ur salary on the table and ask the money to do work if not then don’t be so fool to treat u like that… Diet herself not dh … We need food to work

My boss is holding my passport I ask him for.many times I want my passport I need it badly to get police clearance and update my sss but he is so hard to talk he still holding my passport until now for more than 8 months. Can I put him in black listed employer what case I can file for him?
YES I agree employers are too high becouse we called them mam and sir but….that’s only a words that always can pronounce every time
They don’t know there maids or helper is more than educated than them…some of the employers acting like a high note…wee stops abusing and respect also all the dh or helper becouse you employers is an a human too.if you want to be having respective from dh pls do respect them too….to all the employers

Been there… I experienced that much worst…
No breakfast only coffee.. lunch most of the time 3 pm .Me and her mom need to wait for her call .If im going to cook or buy the food.dinner is 9 or 10 pm bcoz we need to wait for her to comeback home.
Most of the time I sleep 3 am.
Even her family is kind I can’t tolerate her attitude towards me.So I break my contract and look for a new emoloyer.Luckily I found a good one. Now im working here for more than 5 yrs
