In an attempt to prevent maids from being exploited, the consulate generals of the Philippines and Indonesia, in Hong Kong, are to share blacklists of employers who have records of abusing their domestic workers.
Complaints against employers are usually filed by domestic helpers and their acquaintances, or by employment agencies or neighbours of the employer families, Ming Pao Daily reported, citing the Indonesian consul for manpower and labour, Iroh Baroroh. Five people are now on the blacklist due to cases related to abuse, sexual harassment or unpaid wages.
Two Hong Kong women said in the report that they had been barred from hiring maids by the Filipino and Indonesian consulate generals, respectively. They complained that it was too easy for maids to put their employers on the blacklists.
However, the Chairman of the Hong Kong Employment Agencies Association, Cheung Kit-man, said the consulates only blacklisted employers against whom there was ample evidence of abuse.
Of course u will be blacklisted bec.ur maltreating ur helper.Nobody will react or do such things esp.those consulate if u never did abuse their rights…

Hi..ladys I just want to shared u it is happened to me..my employer she wont give my fud allowance..and she asking me to buy my coffee and bread..then at night I just having dinner after they finished the dinner.and also I slept on living room covered the cuetain and front of cctv c amera installed do u think shall I compliant to the labour ur comments highly appreciated..thanks
If you deserve to be blacklisted, so don’t complain. We knew our rights.. And you should know also your faults and limits..

Its about time something is done …abuseed employee has been happening for years and nothing is done about it…good job Embassies. ….and you OFW’s make sure to report your emplyer that abuses you…..
Foods, board and lodging are all must be provided by the employers.That was stated on the working contract which they have signed. If no foods provided not HK$995 or more will be given to the helper as food allowance.
Bt..my braekfst i buy my own..cos they buy food..mostly hve pork,im nt eat pork,n they knw abt imnt eating pork,in sometime also my ladybos ask me to diet,hve u ever all the coment here…is ur emplyr asking to diet

Not all helpers are bad and not all employers are good,.same thing! employers and helpers are both human being but some employers are abusing their helper and no consideration for them as long as they are paying the helpers salary they wont even care if their helper is sick or hungry, sir/madam your helpers are human being too getting tired,need rest, hungry need food to gain energy to serve you, they have feelings too!dont insult them. they are workers and not your slave.

That’s good news to all..I just want to share what I’ve heard to a one Filipina who’s employer is a Chinese …She told me that she gave only 1 pc.of bread and coffee for breakfast at 8:00am..And then lunch at 3:00 in the afternoon and only noodles…For God sake, what kind of employer is this..She a human like her that can feel hungry,She’s not a robot but she’s a human…I told her that she will buy food with her own money and suggest that she will show to them especially to the man so that he will know what his wife doing to the Filipina.I told her not to afraid to show.Because it is the responsibility of the employer to provide food..If they cannot give food, just give the food allowance so that the helper can buy what she wants to eat…And she has the right to take a rest…She told me that she will not renew her contract..But I advice her to talk to her employer especially the man about her situation because if they will hire another new helper (Filipina) kawawa uli..So pls.don’t afriad to show our right as a helper OFW..And also the agency must monitor their clients..
That’s why I feel so sorry to those who’s firstimer here..Because we don’t what will happen..Lucky if we find a good employer, and unlucky if we find bad employer…

If you are good employers nobody will blacklisted you….before the consulate can put you on the black list ..they are investigating it first and gather evidences
