Một nhóm bốn người có quốc tịch Việt Nam đã bị bắt ở Campuchia vì bị cáo buộc săn trộm trong một khu bảo tồn động vật hoang dã.

Ngày 1 tháng 5, cảnh sát quân sự tỉnh Stung Treng đã tiến hành các vụ bắt giữ, tờ Khmer Times đưa tin . Chỉ huy cảnh sát quân sự quận, ông Sok Rithy xác nhận các vụ bắt giữ và nói rằng xác động vật, cũng như súng và đạn, đã bị thu giữ.

Theo truyền thông địa phương, các vụ bắt giữ diễn ra sau khi người dân xã Sdao trình báo hành vi của người Việt Nam vào ngày 30 tháng Tư.

Người phát ngôn của Thiếu tướng Cảnh sát Quân sự Quốc gia Eng Hy cho biết các nghi phạm hiện đang bị cảnh sát thẩm vấn tại trụ sở cảnh sát quân sự tỉnh.
