Authorities in Indonesia have arrested an ATM technician after he allegedly stole money from three ATMs in Jakarta.

Local police chief Nordin said ATM maintenance technician Mardiansyah was ordered to check three different ATMs in the Condet Raya area on April 27, The Jakarta Post reported. He is suspected to have stolen the keys to the three ATMs before taking the cash in the machines.

He took a total of 36.05 million Rupiahs (US$2,497) on the same day. A report on the ATM robbery was filed with police, who conducted an investigation and discovered CCTV footage that showed the technician breaking into the ATMs.

Mardiansyah now faces charges under Article 362 of the Criminal Code. If found guilty, he could be sent to jail for up to five years.
