Authorities at the Soerkarno-Hatta International Aiport in Tangerang, Banten in Indonesia arrested a man for posing as a pilot.

Alvin Adithya Darmawan was dressed in a Garuda Indonesia airlines pilot uniform when he checked in at the airline’s counter at around 11:40am on March 22, The Jakarta Post reported. He was also carrying an aircrew ID.

He was noticed wandering around Terminal 3 by an actual Garuda pilot, who became suspicious. The pilot talked to Darmawan who responded with unclear answers, further solidifying the real pilot’s suspicions. He then reported the fake pilot to security officers.

The head of the criminal investigation unit at the airport James Hasudungan Hutajulu said Darmawan was a passenger on a Garuda flight that was heading to Semarang, Central Java. Darmawan confessed that he was infatuated with the idea of being a pilot, but had earlier failed in an application to get into flying school. He was detained for questioning.
