Three women including two Filipinas were knocked down by a Tesla car after it crashed with a Mercedez-Benz in Kowloon’s Mong Kok on Tuesday.

The accident took place at the intersection of Argyle Street, Waterloo Road and Princess Road in Kowloon at 2pm, Apple Daily reported.

A 32-year-old man surnamed Yueng was reportedly driving a Telsa along Argyle Street when he allegedly lost control before colliding with a Mercedez-Benz at the intersection.

The Mercedez-Benz driver, a 61-year-old man surnamed Yuen failed to brake and his car slammed into the rear of the Tesla.

The Tesla then mounted the sidewalk and knocked down three women who were waiting to cross the road. After being struck by the car they were seen lying on the pavement, still conscious, Oriental Daily reported.

One of the pedestrians was an 81-year-old local woman who suffered hand and head injuries; the others, Filipino women aged 39 and 40, suffered leg injuries. All three were taken to hospital for medical treatment. The driver of the Tesla, who suffered chest injuries, was also taken to hospital.

Both drivers reportedly passed breath tests.
