27歲的加拿大籍華裔青年創業者黃鐵鋒（Brian Wong），涉嫌於2016年在美國德州奧斯汀市，強姦一名女大學生，3月15日被正式起訴。黃一手創辦的移動廣告網路Kiip，已另聘執行長，取代黃的位置。
案情指，黃鐵鋒在手機交友程式Tinder，結織在美國萊斯大學就讀的Samantha Luu（化名），2016年相約在「西南偏南」藝術節大會舉行期間，到舉辦城市德州奧斯汀見面。女方對警方稱，自己在派對上喝了半杯酒後頭暈目眩，其後發現自己身在黃鐵鋒的酒店房間內。她說，曾要求黃鐵鋒停手，一度踢開他並大喊「強姦」，但最後還是遭到侵犯。她開車回校園所在的休斯敦后，向學校報告事件，校方再轉介奧斯汀警方處理。
該案件一度被Luu終止，不過她去年再次與奧斯汀警方接觸，再次開啟案件，因為自己「現在的處境可以繼續參與到案件中」。
黃聲稱，二人同意初次約會便發生性行為。黃的代表律師指，黃鐵鋒3年來一直全面配合警方調查，也通過測謊測試，堅稱清白。
黃鐵鋒曾是天才少年，於溫哥華出生，父母是香港移民。他小的時候曾沉迷電腦遊戲，不過仍然以優異的成績畢業於卑詩大學（UBC）商學院。他19歲時創辦移動廣告網絡Kiip，該平台令用戶可以將遊戲里的成就兌換成實物獎勵，同時推送贊助商廣告，並且可以從遊戲開發商的盈利中抽成。Kiip自成立以來已籌資3,200萬美元，在紐約、舊金山、洛杉磯和芝加哥擁有員工和辦事處。
按Kiip董事會要求，黃已於2月26日無限期休假，公司宣布聘任資訊顧問企業Katnar Group的管理層人員傑森·拉普（Jason Lapp）為新任執行長。該公司在一份聲明中表示：「Kiip致力於維護一個安全的工作環境，讓每個人都得到尊重。我們希望每位員工，包括我們的CEO，都遵守我們的行為準則。」
