Napatunayan ng isang medikal na pagsusuri na ang Pilipino ay nasa ilalim ng impluwensya ng kristal meth at amphetamine sa panahon ng kanyang pag-aresto.
Sa Dubai Criminal Court, tinanggihan ng Pilipino ang mga singil sa pag-atake at pagkuha ng mga droga at nag-plea ng not giulty. Siya ay nasentensiyahan ng limang taon na pagkakabilanggo dahil sa pagsalakay sa isang pulisya at iniutos na magbayad ng multa na 20,000 dirhams. Siya ay i-dedeport pagkatapos magsilbi sa kanyang sintensya.
Ang lalaki ay tatayo rin sa paglilitis sa Dubai Court of Misdemeanors sa mga singil sa pag-gamit ng mga bawal na gamot, na may pinakamaliit na parusa na apat na taon na pagkakabilanggo na sinundan ng deportasyon.
