Lebih dari 150 pasien harus dievakuasi setelah terjadinya kebakaran di sebuah rumah sakit di Banten pada Senin malam.
Kebakaran mulai terjadi di RSU Tangerang pada sekitar pukul 11 malam tanggal 25 Februari, The Jakarta Post melaporkan. Staf rumah sakit terpaksa memindahkan 156 pasien ke beberapa rumah sakit lainnya disekitar Kabupaten Tangerang.
Kepala RSU Tangerang Feriansyah berkata para pasien tersebut dipindahkan ke 23 rumah sakit yang berbeda di pusat kota dan tiga rumah sakit yang terletak di daerah yang sama. Sekalipun memakan waktu lama, proses evakuasi berjalan dengan lancar, demikian ungkap Feriansyah.
Para pasien pertama-tama dipindahkan ke daerah-daerah aman, seperti taman di rumah sakit tersebut dan kantor-kantor pemerintah, sebelum kemudian dipindahkan ke rumah sakit lainnya. Namun pasien yang membutuhkan perawatan langsung segera dibawa ke rumah sakit lain terlebih dahulu.
Feriansyah berkata proses evakuasi memakan waktu delapan jam, namun prosedur tersebut berjalan dengan aman dan rumah sakit-rumah sakit lainnya serta berbagai komunitas menunjukkan dukungan dan meresponi dengan baik ketika pihak RSU Tangerang meminta bantuan.
Menurut sang kepala rumah sakit, kebakaran dimulai karena panel listrik yang rusak di lantai tiga. Memakan waktu sekitar setengah jam untuk petugas pemadam kebakaran memadamkan kobaran api.
Kepala keamanan rumah sakit lah yang pertama mengetahui adanya kebakaran ketika dia mencium bau kabel terbakar dan segera memberitahukannya kepada anggota keamanan lainnya.
Sampai berita ini diturunkan tidak ada korban jiwa dari kebakaran yang dimaksud.
