قالت وزارة الداخلية إن أميني شرطة قُتلا، بينما أُصيب ثلاثة ضباط آخرين، جراء تفجير قام به انتحاري بالقرب من الجامع اﻷزهر بالقاهرة مساء أمس، اﻹثنين، بحسب بيان أصدرته الوزارة.
كما أُصيب ثلاثة مدنيين آخرين جراء الانفجار، أحدهم طالب تايلاندي، حسبما أفادت مصادر أمنية نقلت عنها وكالة رويترز.
وأوضح البيان أن عناصر الشرطة كانت تطارد الانتحاري الذي فجر نفسه على خلفية اشتباههم في تورطه في تفجير مسجد الاستقامة يوم الجمعة الماضية.
ويعمل أميني الشرطة اللذان قُتلا في التفجير في قطاع اﻷمن الوطني ومباحث القاهرة، بينما يعمل المصابين في قطاع اﻷمن الوطني ومباحث القاهرة واﻷمن العام.
ونشر التلفزيون المصري صورة قالت إنها للانتحاري الذي فجر نفسه، موضحة أن اسمه الحسن عبد الله، ويبلغ من العمر 37 عامًا.
التفجير هو الثاني خلال أسبوع واحد في العاصمة المصرية، بعدما شهد ميدان الجيزة أمام مسجد الاستقامة انفجارًا يوم الجمعة الماضية أثناء قيام قوات اﻷمن بتفكيك عبوة ناسفة، حسبما أفادت وزارة الداخلية.
ولم تعلن أي جهة مسؤوليتها عن الحادث حتى اﻵن.
ولم تشهد القاهرة أي حوادث مماثلة منذ ديسمبر الماضي بعدما تسبب انفجار في مقتل ثلاثة سياح فيتناميين ومرشد سياحي مصر.
