Police are looking for an Indonesian who killed a 30-year-old compatriot in Taichung, Taiwan, on Wednesday. The man was severely injured in a fight and later pronounced dead on his way to a hospital from a clinic.

At 3 am on December 26, two Indonesian workers became involved in a heated dispute and a 30-year-old man, who was later found to have overstayed in the country, suffered a five-centimeter wound to his left ear and severe bleeding, the China Daily News reported.

The injured man was taken by three Indonesian colleagues on a tractor to a nearby clinic. Paramedics then took over and picked up the injured man on the Northern Cross-Country Highway. He had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.

The three men, allegedly illegal migrants who had overstayed their visas, fled when they saw officers arrive to investigate. The injured man was sent to the Health Center of Lee Mountain in Heping district and referred to the China Medical University. However, he was pronounced dead during the trip.
