A Filipino police officer was accused of raping the 15-year-old daughter of detained drug suspects in Manila, Philippines.

On October 25, the girl’s parents were arrested for allegedly possessing illegal drugs. After her parents were taken away, police officer Eduardo Valencia was tasked with taking the girl home, Rappler reported.

However, Valencia allegedly took the girl to a motel and raped her. According to  reports, the rape happened on the morning of October 26. When the girl was finally brought home, she told her relatives what had happened.

The girl’s relatives sought help from the police, who arrested Valencia on October 27 at his home in Pasig City. Valencia denied the allegations but medical tests showed that the victim had suffered lacerations indicative of forced sexual intercourse.

Guillermo Eleazar, National Capital Region Police Office Chief, said that the girl is already under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and Valencia will face both administrative and criminal charges.

Eleazar said Valencia’s case is the first of its kind, however, the suspect said that such accusations being thrown at him “are not new”, implying that the allegation was payback for the drug operation.
