A Vietnamese mother of two children who was severely ill recently benefited from funds raised by officers from the Pingtung County Police Bureau to help the immigrant family.
The woman surnamed Vo had been married for 15 years to a Taiwanese man who became ill and died two years ago, The Real Daily reported.
The widow supported her two school-age children by working full-time in a factory in Donggang town.
However, after being hospitalized for surgery to treat a severe illness, the woman was not strong enough to return to work.
The Chaozhou Precinct of the Pingtung County Police Bureau learned of the Vo family’s difficulties. Officers raised funds and gathered household necessities to help Vo and her children get through the difficult times.

James 1:27 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
27 This is a pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
