A police officer in Kuwait was arrested after running over a Filipino woman with his car and then fleeing from the scene. On Tuesday in the town of Salmiya, the woman was crossing a road when she was hit by a car driven by a policeman, Kuwait Times reported.
Witnesses called the police and paramedics and the victim was taken to Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital. She had sustained fractures and other injuries.
Police detectives investigated the incident and arrested the officer. He initially denied any involvement in the accident, but later admitted his crime after a witness provided evidence, Arab Times reported.
