A 28-year-old Filipino domestic worker was arrested in the Shatin area of Hong Kong’s New Territories on Wednesday for allegedly ill-treating a 16-month-old girl.
News website HK01.com reports that at 11pm, a 34-year-old man surnamed Yiu took his daughter to Prince of Wales Hospital as the girl had a head injury.
The father reported to police at the hospital that he suspected the family’s domestic worker of dropping the girl to the ground and hurting her head at their flat in Yu Man House, Yu Chui Court.
Police officers from the Shatin Police station subsequently arrested the domestic worker. The case has been classed as ill-treatment or neglect by a person in charge of a child or young person. Further investigations are pending.
According to Oriental Daily, the domestic worker is a Filipina.

babies are delicate..if u look after the babies alone have to be double caution…if ur employer demand u a lot and u cant handle it just tell them..if they dont mind and keep demanding u then thats the right time to call ur egency and tell onw more time to the employer so if this may occur u can fight to depend ur self..believe me..its not easy to take care a babies..thats why when my i employed my babys nanny i did help her not to demand so she can take care my child properly but still my second child nanny is abusive…how sad.
