A Filipino domestic worker hailed a taxi and chased after a bus when a small girl in her care took the wrong route in New Territories East.
The woman, named only as Kristine, 43, was waiting with the five-year-old and her twin brother at 3pm on February 22 as two buses arrived — one for route 91 and the other for 91M — reported sunwebhk.com, a news portal for Filipinos in Hong Kong.
They were supposed to take route 91 to Clear Water Bay, but the little girl suddenly ran and boarded the 91M bus. Realizing what had happened, the maid flagged down a taxi and followed the bus until it stopped at Hang Hau market.
She found the girl onboard unharmed. Kristine’s German and Canadian employers later scolded the girl for her behavior. The report did not say whether the domestic worker got the blame.

That’s a big responsibility for three kids especially the twins in one helper.
That’s why is very important to remind always the kids what bus number need to take as I always do sometimes I have three kids with me I keep telling them stay on my side or stay far away from the road to avoid them running its so hard for us aunties to watch 3 kids but it’s our job….

I have seen so many cases of kids not listening and being disrespectful to their helpers. I once had to tell a child at the bus stop to not be rude to her helper. Parents …who wants helpers so they do not need to haggle with or disrupt their sleep, their work, their goals, and moving away from responsibilities of their little ones like diaper changing, feeding, cooking. Honestly…DON’T HAVE KIDS! Its not fair to the helpers. 3 toddlers and 1 adult…really?! They are here to lend a spare hand…not to DO EVERYTHING FOR US. Our children need us! Stop replacing your role with helpers.
