A Filipino domestic worker hailed a taxi and chased after a bus when a small girl in her care took the wrong route in New Territories East.
The woman, named only as Kristine, 43, was waiting with the five-year-old and her twin brother at 3pm on February 22 as two buses arrived — one for route 91 and the other for 91M — reported sunwebhk.com, a news portal for Filipinos in Hong Kong.
They were supposed to take route 91 to Clear Water Bay, but the little girl suddenly ran and boarded the 91M bus. Realizing what had happened, the maid flagged down a taxi and followed the bus until it stopped at Hang Hau market.
She found the girl onboard unharmed. Kristine’s German and Canadian employers later scolded the girl for her behavior. The report did not say whether the domestic worker got the blame.
