A complaint filed by a Beijing-based law firm on behalf of 28 app developers in China claims that Apple has breached the country’s antitrust regulations. The alleged violations include excessive fees charged and a practice of removing apps without due explanation, an attorney at the firm told Reuters on Thursday.

“During its localization process Apple has run into several antitrust issues … after an initial investigation we consulted a number of enterprises and got a very strong response,” said Lin Wei, an attorney at Dare & Sure Law Firm.

Apple’s China App Store is its most profitable globally, and a spokesperson for the company said the guidelines for publishing apps were consistent with those in all countries.
