A 25-year-old Pakistani man was arrested early on Sunday morning after being accused of raping a Hong Kong woman, who had been drinking alone in the bar precinct of Lan Kwai Fong, Central district, on Hong Kong Island a day earlier.
The man, who has a HKID card, approached the woman, 30, at a bar in the early hours of Saturday and bought her several rounds of drinks, Sing Tao Daily reported. He offered to escort the woman home, but then took her to a love hotel, which charges hourly rates, on Lockhart Road, Wan Chai.
When the woman woke up, she found that she had been raped. At noon on Saturday, she called the police and was still emotionally distraught when officers arrived. She was sent to hospital, Oriental Daily reported.
After checking closed-circuit television footage, officers identified a suspect and arrested a Pakistani man in Lan Kwai Fong on Sunday morning.

This man shouldn’t be arrested. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of Paki Muslims. But they were both drunk pissheads who met each other in the bar and decided to get cozy. It’s not fair for her to call him a rapist. Just because the law favours you women doesn’t mean you should abuse it. Two people got drunk and had sex. Now why is one a victim and another a criminal?
