A research report by Philip Capital found that China is scaling back tire exports to India after the Trump administration decided against an Obama era anti-dumping duty on Chinese tires. The Economic Times quoted the report on Tuesday, which said that “China has raised their TBR (truck, bus and radial) tyre prices for Indian market by 10-15%, rendering them unattractive […] Our checks indicate that Chinese factories have nearly stopped catering to tyre demand from India as US markets were more lucrative.” So much for that looming trade war.
