Một phụ nữ Singapore 40 tuổi đã bị kết án với nhiều tội danh vào ngày 29 tháng 4 trong một vụ án gây sốc cho quốc đảo này. Người giúp việc nhà đã bị đập gãy răng bằng cái vồ dần thịt.
Bà Singapore bị cáo buộc đánh đập người làm nhiều lần từ tháng 6 năm ngoái tới tháng 2 năm nay.
Wen Shao Yang bị buộc bảy tội danh lạm dụng người giúp việc nhà, cũng như cố ý gây ra thương tích nặng, báo Shin Min Daily News đưa tin. Tòa án được biết rằng vụ việc cuối cùng mới xảy ra gần đây nhất là trong một chuỗi các cáo buộc hành hạ thể xác mà bà ta đã trút lên người giúp việc.
Lúc 3 giờ chiều ngày 4 tháng 2 năm nay, bị cáo đã đấm vào mặt nạn nhân và sau đó ép cô dùng cái vồ dần thịt tự đập vô răng 50 lần tại nhà ở Anchorvale, Seng Khang, Singapore.
Bà ta còn gây thêm thương tích bằng cách vạch môi nạn nhân bằng tay trái và đập bể răng của người làm với cái vồ dần thịt trong tay phải. Vụ hành hạ khiến người nữ giúp việc bị nứt và gãy răng hàm.
Trước vụ tấn công này, trong khoảng thời gian 9 tháng, bị cáo đã đánh đấm người giúp việc sưng và bầm tím đầu cổ và mặt mũi. Có nhiều lần bà ta buộc người làm tự đánh vô mặt mình, đặc biệt là từ tháng 7 đến tháng 11 năm 2018.
Phiên tòa tiếp tục xử vào ngày 23 tháng 5.
