지난 2014년 파라셀 군도에서 중국 함정의 공격을 받아 파손된 어선이 베트남 시민들에게 당시 상황을 상기시키기 위해 전시된다.
베트남 언론 VN 익스프레스의 보도에 따르면 베트남 다낭시의 손트라 지구에 있는 호앙사 전시관은 DNa90152TS로 불리는 파손된 선박을 전시했다. 이 선박은 중국 하이난성의 수많은 섬 중 하나인 파라셀 군도(Paracel Islands) 근방에서 고기잡이를 하던 어선으로 선주의 기증으로 전시가 이루어졌다.
파라셀군도의 베트남 명칭은 호앙사군도, 중국 명칭은 시사군도로 양국간 영토 분쟁이 벌어지고 있는 지역이다.
지난 2014년 5월1일 중국의 석유 굴착선인 하이양 시유 981이 파라셀 군도에 정박했다. 베트남 당국은 중국 석유 굴착선이 국제법 위반은 물론 베트남 영해를 침범했다며 그 지역에서 떠날 것을 거듭 요구했다. 그러자 중국 선박들이 베트남 선박들을 몰아내기 시작했고, 일부 선박에 대한 공격도 있었다.
DNa 90152TS는 석유 굴착선으로부터 17해리 떨어진 지역에서 중국 선박의 받았다. 중국 선박이 이 베트남 어선을 추돌한 것이다. 중국인들은 다른 베트남 어선의 선원들이 물에 빠진 DNa 90152TS의 선원을 구조하지 못하도록 막기도 했다. 바다에 빠진 선원들은 스스로 생존해야 했다.
중국은 이 선박이 중국 선박을 추돌한 후 침몰했다며 공격을 부인했다. 하지만 당시 상황이 담긴 동영상에 중국 배의 공격 장면이 고스란히 담겨있었다.
호앙사 전시관은 종전에는 중국 선박으로부터 공격을 받았던 이 어선을 전시하자는 선주의 요청을 거부했으나, 최근 선박을 전시하기로 결정했다.
당콘누 화옹사지구 전 회장은 이 어선의 전시를 통해 화옹사 군도가 불법적으로 점령당했다는 것을 후대에 상기시켜줄 것이라고 말했다.
지난 1974년 1월 중국과 베트남군의 교전이 벌어진 후 중국이 파라셀 군도를 장악했다.
전시된 어선이 선박이 침몰했던 2014년 5월에는 중국이 이 지역에서 석유 시추 공사를 강행하면서 주변에 군함을 배치했고, 베트남도 철수를 촉구하면서 초계함 등을 동원했다. 이 과정에서 양국 함정 간 충돌이 벌어지기도 했다.
