Seorang pria di Indonesia telah dituduh membunuh istrinya di rumah mereka di Bekasi, Jawa Barat setelah terjadinya perdebatan diantara keduanya mengenai penghasilan mereka.
Pria itu diduga mencekik istrinya pada 10 April di kediaman mereka di komplek perumahan Grand Permata City setelah keduanya berdebat, The Jakarta Post melaporkan. Kepala kepolisian setempat Candra Sukma Kumara berkata bahwa Perempuan yang sebagai seorang pengusaha berpenghasilan lebih dari sang suami tersebut kabarnya sering memarahi pelaku yang menganggur.
Setelah terjadinya pembunuhan yang dimaksud, pria tersebut dipercayai menempatkan mayat korban dalam kamar sebelum ia melarikan diri dari lokasi kejadian. Salah seorang saudara kandung sang istri menemukan mayat korban dan melaporkan kasus tersebut kepada kepala lingkungan setempat pada 12 April, dan laporan tersebut pun segera diteruskan kepada pihak berwajib.
Pelaku diketahui menyerahkan diri di kantor polisi Serpong, Tangerang Selatan, provinsi Banten, pada 21 April. Menurut kepala polisi Kumara, pria itu menyerahkan diri setelah merasa dihantui oleh arwah sang istri.
Apabila terbukti bersalah, pelaku dapat dijatuhi hukuman penjara selama 20 tahun atas pembunuhan yang dilakukannya.
