Hong Kong police are investigating a burglary in broad daylight at a luxury house in Shatin in the New Territories on Thursday.
At about noon, a domestic worker at The Great Hill, a luxury residential cluster on 8 Tung Lo Wan Hill Road in Shatin’s Tai Wai district, heard glass breaking on a balcony, the Oriental Daily reported.
She rushed to check and found a glass door on the balcony was broken. The house had been ransacked. She reported the case to police. Police arrived and found a safe stored in the bedroom had been moved to the balcony’s floor.
The house owner said no valuables were missing. Police are now investigating the surveillance camera footage and hunting for the burglar. The crime investigation team from the Shatin Police Station are following up the case.
