Vietnamese police have made a dent in the international drugs trade after seizing more than 100,000 methamphetamine pills in only two days.

On March 30, police in Dien Bien province seized 90,000 methamphetamine pills after a man from Laos was arrested in a joint operation conducted by police departments in Vietnam and Laos, Viet Nam News reported. A motorcycle, a cell phone and other items were also seized.

The Lao national said he bought the drugs in Borikhamxay Province in Laos and had brought them to Luang Prabang for sale to an unidentified Vietnamese individual.

On March 31, police officers on patrol in Dien Bien Phu City spotted three men whom they suspected of doing a drug deal. Although the three resisted arrest and two of them managed to flee, Hang A Khu, 29 was arrested.

Khu, a resident of the Pu Nhi Commune in Dien Bien Dong District, was found to have 20,000 meth pills in his possession.

The authorities are currently investigating both cases.

  1. I’m impressed, I have to admit. Genuinely rarely should i encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail about the head. Your idea is outstanding; the problem is an element that insufficient persons are speaking intelligently about. I am delighted we came across this during my look for something with this.
