Nhà chức trách Đài Loan đã bắt giữ bảy nhân công Việt Nam vì có thể có liên can đến vụ sát hại một đồng hương.
Báo chí địa phương cho biết nhân công tên Vũ đã cãi nhau kịch liệt với một đồng nghiệp về vấn đề việc làm hôm Chủ nhật 17 tháng 2 ở thành phố Taoyuan.
Hai người Việt khác là Trương và Nguyễn cố can vụ cãi lộn nhưng bị đâm trong khi gây gổ, báo VN Express đưa tin.
Khi cảnh sát tới hiện trường thì phát hiện Trương và Nguyễn đang nằm trong vũng máu. Hai người này đã được đưa liền tới bệnh viện, Trương thiệt mạng vì vết thương nhưng Nguyễn qua cơn nguy kịch và hiện đang được điều trị.
Bảy người Việt tình nghi kể cả Vũ hiện đang bị giam giữ với các cáo buộc liên quan đến vụ sát hại Trương và đâm Nguyễn bị thương.
Năm 2015, Đài Loan gỡ bỏ lệnh cấm nhân công Việt Nam và đã thu hút được nhiều nhân công Việt Nam ra nước ngoài tìm việc hơn.
Năm ngoái có khoảng 65.000 nhân công Việt Nam làm việc tại Đài Loan, chiếm gần một nửa số nhân công xuất khẩu của Việt Nam. Đài Loan là nơi được ưa chuộng vì nhân công ở đó có thể nhận lương gấp ba bốn lần lương họ kiếm được ở nhà.
