Sự kiện này có 12.000 sinh viên từ khắp nơi trong khu vực Bicol tham gia. Hoa hậu đã gặp gỡ các sinh viên và kêu gọi họ đừng từ bỏ ước mơ và hãy tự tin.
Trong chuyến đi của mình, cô đi cùng huấn luyện viên Anjo Santos, người Philippines. Sau đó, Nie đã gặp gỡ Á hậu 4 của cuộc thi Hoa hậu Hoàn vũ 2010 Venus Raj, người cũng được Santos huấn luyện. Hai cô sau đó đã chụp một bộ ảnh mặc trang phục truyền thống của người Philippine.
