Poland is offering jobs to Filipinos who are willing to work in manufacturing, fish and meat processing, information technology and driving heavy goods vehicles.

According to Elsa Villa, president of the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, many of the jobs being offered do not require experience as employers will provide training, GMA News reported.

Villa said applicants do not need to be highly skilled and will be assigned to manufacturing companies. After successful applicants have worked in Poland for a few years, they will have the chance to apply for residency in Poland and to bring their families over to join them.

“Workers who have worked for five straight years with one employer will be entitled to apply for residency,” Villa said.

Other countries in Central Europe such as Croatia and the Czech Republic, as well as countries in Eastern Europe, are also opening their doors to skilled and unskilled migrant workers.

Bernard Olalia, administrator of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), reminds Filipino jobseekers to be wary of fake recruiters and to only follow official job offers on the POEA website when planning to work overseas.

“If you plan to be deployed by our government through government placement, please head to POEA,” Olaila said.
