Isang Intsik na lalaki ang naaresto sa Pilipinas dahil sa illegal recruiting at trafficking sa mga Pilipinong nagtatrabaho sa China.
Sinabi ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na si Kai Kai Wang, alyas Jackson Ong, ay naaresto noong Biyernes sa kanyang tanggapan sa Binondo, Maynila. Inaresto din ng NBI ang kanyang sekretarya, isang Filipina na nagngangalang June Rose Taguba De Agtaran, iniulat ng GMA News.
Sinabi ng NBI na nagpadala ito ng mga opisyal sa opisina ni Wang na nagpanggap na mga aplikanteng interesado sa pagtatrabaho sa China. Pagkatapos ay inaresto ng mga opisyal si Wang – at ang limang Pilipinong kababaihan na nag-aaplay ng trabaho sa kanyang tanggapan ay naligtas.
Inihayag ni Wang ang mga trabaho ng mga Pilipino bilang mga domestic worker sa China ay may buwanang suweldo na 40,000 pesos (US $ 764). Gayunpaman, ang Intsik ay walang pahintulot na mag-alok ng trabaho sa kanyang sariling bayan at hindi inaprobahan ng Philippine Overseas Employment Agency.
Ang “ahensiya” ni Wang ay inakusahan din ng mga aplikante ng smuggling sa China sa pamamagitan ng mga bangka mula sa Vietnam nang walang tamang permit o paperworks upang magsagawa ng naturang operasyon.
Sinisiyasat ng NBI ang katayuan ng ibang manggagawang Pilipino na ipinadala nang ilegal sa China sa pamamagitan ng ahensiya ni Wang.
