澳洲一電視台時事節目指責新加坡媽媽搶購澳洲奶粉，導致當地媽媽買不到，新加坡媽媽紛紛反駁，指責報道不實。
據《中國報》報導，一檔名為A Current Affair的澳洲時事節目前天在面書主頁上載了一段節目視頻，節目開頭是許多華人在澳洲當地藥房狂掃奶粉的錄影畫面，接著主持人出現在新加坡一個大型嬰兒展銷會，以一款名為「Nature One」的澳洲奶粉為例，將「狂掃奶粉」導致澳洲本土奶粉斷貨的矛頭指向新加坡人。
該名主持人在展銷會現場採訪了一名新加坡母親，對方簡短地表示一方面他們需要購買奶粉，同時也希望不用親自去到澳洲就能在新加坡購得。接著主持人話鋒一轉，認為現場可以買到的奶粉是建立在澳洲媽媽奶粉斷貨的代價上，並在節目結尾處引入一段澳洲媽媽發起的聯署，內容是抗議她在澳洲買不到奶粉。
視頻被放上網後，引發了新加坡媽媽的不滿，紛紛留言表示節目呈現的信息是完全錯誤的。
育有一女的劉女士說，對比澳洲，新加坡每年需要的奶粉量本就不大，對澳洲奶粉供應造成影響一說就更是無稽之談。況且，新加坡的奶粉來源國眾多，澳洲品牌在新加坡也不屬於最熱門、最暢銷的選項，因此該時事節目得出這種結論讓人百思不得其解。
育有兩個兒子的媽媽趙女士則說，她和身邊的媽媽都是盡量餵母乳，因此她的兩個孩子都是一歲以後才開始喝奶粉，同時也引入鮮奶，對奶粉的需求量有限。
在節目尾聲發起聯署的澳洲媽媽隨後在Facebook上表示，她對節目最後的呈現效果並不知情。她已經聯繫了節目負責人，質問他們為何要扭曲事實：「他們告訴我拍攝的內容是『請願』，而且我也告訴他們狂掃奶粉的是中國人，而不是新加坡人」。
新加坡15種銷售的主要奶粉品牌中，其產地分布非常平均，除了新加坡生產的四種奶粉品牌外，還有多達8個奶粉來源國。其中比重最大的是荷蘭，大約佔了三個，其他來源國有澳洲、新西蘭、西班牙、德國、馬來西亞、美國和瑞士等。
節目中所提到的澳洲品牌Nature One在新加坡超市或網站上並不常見，甚至有消費者表示從未聽說過。也有人質疑，該視頻是關於此款奶粉的廣告策略。
