Isang negosyanteng Hapones at isang Pilipinong babae ang naaresto noong Huwebes at kinasuhan dahil sa pagbebenta ng ilegal na droga sa Zamboanga City sa Pilipinas.
Inaresto ng pulisya sina Hiroyuki Takahashi, 59, at Mary Jane Huerto, 43, sa Don Toribio street sa Barangay Tetuan sa isang buy-bust na operasyon, ayon sa Mindanao Examiner.
Ayon kay Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Luis Licup, Police Regional Office ng Zamboanga Peninsula director, ang dalawa ay nahuli na nagbebenta ng methamphetamine hydrochloride, o yelo, sa mga undercover agent.
Ang Hapon ay naninirahan sa Zamboanga City sa nakalipas na anim na taon. Gayunpaman, hindi nito alam na siya ay bahagi ng isang sindikato sa droga. ilang impormasyon lamang tungkol sa kanya ang kilala at walang agarang pahayag mula sa embahada ng Japan o Department of Foreign Affairs sa pagdakip kay Takahashi.
