Isang bulag na Filipina na hindi maalam magsalita ng Inggles ay nag-viral matapos kumalat sa social media ang kaniyang video na pagkanta ng isang sikat na Whitney Houston hit.
Ang video ni Elsie Balawing, na nasa mahigit 20-anyos, ay ini-upload sa Facebook ni Darrel Burnett. Ayon kay Burnett, si Balawing ay bulag at nagmula sa isang maliit na barangay ng mga mangingisda sa Pilipinas, iniulat ng Daily Mail.
“Isa siya sa mga mayroong pinakamagagaling na boses na narinig ko”, sinabi ni Burnett sa kaniyang Facebook post.
Hindi kailanman nakapasok ng eskwelahan si Balawing at hindi maalam magsalita sa wikang Inggles. Gayunpaman, sa kaniyang pakikinig sa mga kanta ng mga sikat na pop stars tulad ni Whitney Houston at Ed Sheeran, natutunan niyang gayahin ang kanilang mga istilo sa pagkanta.
Sa viral video hit, kinanta ni Balawing ang sikat na kanta ni Whitney Houston na “I Will Always Love You”. Sa loob lamang ng tatlong linggo, umabot na ito sa higit na 20 milyong mga views at 402,000 na mga shares.

She has so much talent just in the emotion she interprets from the songs she sings alone. Very few are blessed with such a voice.
