More than 40 local men and foreign women were arrested by police early on Saturday in an unlicensed nightclub in Selangor, Malaysia. The men tested positive for drugs while the women were allegedly available for sexual services.
Kajang police conducted a special operation that raided the unlicensed entertainment center in Cheras early on September 1, The China Press reported.
A total of 68 male and female customers present in the premises were tested for drugs. Of them, 16 local men were arrested after they tested positive for methamphetamine and ketamine use.
Twenty-three “customer service officers”, all female Vietnamese nationals in their 20s, were arrested for various offenses including misuse of social visit passes.
Preliminary investigations suggested that the women were available to be taken to nearby hotel rooms for the provision of sexual services.
It was reported that, despite being raided twice this year by Kajang police, the unlicensed nightclub remained open and vice activities were on-going. Police are looking for the individual who is believed to be the owner of the club.
