A Filipino woman in Taiwan was assaulted and knocked off her bicycle by the former wife of her husband in what has been described as a revenge attack.
A video shows the 44-year-old Filipina migrant worker riding her bicycle in New Taipei City and being pushed off the road and into a parked car by the 51-year-old former wife of her husband.
Both women were married to a Taiwanese man, gave birth and raised children for him, Taiwan Apple Daily reported, citing a post on a Taiwanese whistleblower website.
The woman who committed the assault was married to the man for two decades and recently blamed the other woman for ending her marriage.
On August 20, the factory worker in Yingge district in southwestern New Taipei City was riding back to her office after lunch and was ambushed by a woman wearing a helmet as a disguise. The disguised woman ran onto the road and pushed the woman on the bike, sending her crashing into a parked car.
The woman sustained injuries in her face, head and shoulders and filed an assault charge to police, who later identified the accused with the help of footage from a car dashboard camera.
The injured woman later dropped the charges.
