A Filipino migrant worker was arrested after allegedly threatening in jest to blow up an airliner while he was on a flight to Manila from Saudi Arabia.
On June 18, Alvin Malimban was arrested at Metro Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 after the plane landed, The Philippine Star reported.
According to Marissa Galvez, chief flight steward, she had refused to serve Malimban a third glass of wine because of his unruly behavior toward the airline staff. He then tried to steal a bottle of wine but was caught by a staff member.
Instead of apologizing, Malimban threatened to blow up the plane with a bomb, which caused panic among the passengers.
When the plane landed in Manila, airport police arrested Malimban. He faces several charges, including violating Presidential Decree 1727, also known as the Anti-Bomb Joke Law.
How this kind of Person giving permision to Go outside and work with his Unkind Behavior just of bottle of wine , It Must Not be Allowed Forever It should be BANNED…&.JAIL…
He deserved to be in jail….ignorance is not an excuse of the law
So saudia flights are serving wine now?it was prohibited before during the 80’s when i was employed in saudia.
You should not allow anyone in airlines anyway. You know for fact, when someone is drunk, they cannot think properly.

EXACTLY! However being drunk isn’t an excuse or defence on a situation where he threaten to kill everyone inside the aircraft through his stupid joke – – Bomb? Have you any idea what was psychological anxiety it would affecting the passengers and crew on board? Doesn’t matter to you because you wasn’t part of it, right? That UNCIVILIZED GUY SHOULD BE SLAPPED PEPSONA NON GRATA AND PASSPORT REVOCATION.
