A 50-year-old woman was found dead after falling from a building in Tai Wai in the New Territories on Saturday night.
The woman surnamed Tang was cleaning the window of her apartment in Block C of Greenview Garden at about 7pm when she lost her balance and fell, Apple Daily reported.
Her husband, a 59-year-old man surnamed Chow, was at home but he did not notice the accident until he could not find Tang at home.
He looked out from the window and saw his wife lying on the podium of the building.
He called the police, but Tang was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation, police said they believed that the woman fell from the window when she was cleaning. They did not suspect foul play.
People are advised not to go beyond an arm’s length when cleaning windows. They should not use stools to reach difficult areas or support themselves on window frames, let alone climb railings.

Chinese people should learn to ignore dirty Windows. You will not die with a dirty Window but you will die cleaning that dirty Windows. Choose life over dirty Windows .

My employer is chinese and working with them for 3 yrs but they never allow me to clean the window they more want my safety than to see their window is clean.just cleaning inside..nevermind the outside part.
Lucky me, with all my previous employers and this present one they don’t care the outside glass to be clean. As long as the inside is free from dust they’re fine with it. And there is one employer I had, my boss locked the grills so there’s no way I can clean the outside part of the window. I am thankful for that.
