The guideline makes clear the regulations for strengthening medical quality supervision and ensuring data security. Internet hospitals must be based on physical medical institutions which will be the main body of responsibility.
The supervision is based on territorial management, and it carries out unified supervision both online and offline.
In addition, special emphasis is placed on the responsibilities of third-party platforms. They should ensure that the qualifications of the personnel providing the services comply with relevant regulations.
Jiao Yahui, deputy department head at the National Health and Family Planning Commission, said within the boundary, Internet medical care can provide some services like mature telemedicine services, some health management and online consultation services, as well as some common or chronic disease online referrals.
