The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong has announced that President Rodrigo Duterte will be in Hong Kong next month.
According to the consulate’s Facebook page, the Filipino community is invited to meet with the president on April 12 at 3pm. The venue is to be announced.
The consulate asked those who are interested in attending to register online by sending copies of their passport data page, Hong Kong identity card and contact numbers to firstname.lastname@example.org by this coming Monday, April 2.
Walk-in registration is also available at the consulate from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, March 28, and April 2. Those registering must present their passport and Hong Kong identity card.
Because of the president’s visit, the consulate will be closed to the public on April 12.
Duterte visited Hong Kong on May 12 last year and met representatives from more than 355 Filipino community organizations at the Regal Airport Hotel. He then went to Beijing on May 14 for the One Belt, One Road summit.
