An Indonesian who was the mother of twin boys was killed in a collision involving three vehicles in Chiayi County in southern Taiwan on Wednesday while driving home from work.

The 34-year-old, who had lived in Taiwan for 10 years and had married a local man, was driving home after spending the day working on a farm.

A 32-year-old man and his female colleague at the Taiwan International Institute for Water Education had been inspecting a project in the area and were on their way back to their office when the accident happened, the Taiwan Apple Daily reported.

Their car collided with a truck at an intersection and the truck then smashed into the Indonesian woman’s car, leaving her seriously injured. The Indonesian woman had severe head and neck injuries, while the driver and a passenger in the truck were also injured.

The three were rushed to a nearby hospital where the Indonesian mother of two was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
