An extramarital affair between a Taiwanese man and a live-in Vietnamese maid was exposed after the husband accidentally sent his wife intimate photos of the maid via a mobile messaging app.

In 2010, the married man surnamed Chen was told by a friend about a Vietnamese woman surnamed Nguyen – a runaway migrant worker without a valid work permit – and hired her as a domestic worker for his family, The Liberty Times reported.

Their sexual relationship started one day in 2013 when his wife was not home. Chen convinced Nguyen to have a shower and then sex together.

Chen reportedly liked taking pictures during sex, and he would review them on his mobile phone.

But in March last year Chen mistakenly sent his wife intimate shots of himself with the maid, including close-ups of sex with the Vietnamese woman. His wife was infuriated by the affair and reported the case to police.

Hsinchu District Prosecutors Office recently completed its investigation and found that the photos supported the wife’s statement. They have pressed adultery charges against the husband and the Vietnamese woman.
