A Filipina domestic worker who recently left Hong Kong has returned to work in the city – for the same employer who previously fired her.
The 28-year-old worker, named Lorie, 28, initially came to Hong Kong on June 15 last year. She worked for a male employer in Hang Hau, reports sunwebhk.com, a news portal for Filipinos in Hong Kong.
Things took a turn for the worse last month when Lorie was fired for “talking back” to the man when he was scolding her. She was forced to leave immediately with one month’s pay in lieu of notice.
She told the news portal that she and her employer did not get along, that he often scolded her and that he did not give her a rest day on Sunday. She said that generally stayed silent but that her employer’s temper made her want to resign.
Two days after she returned to her home in Cebu City, Lorie’s employer called her and asked her to return to Hong Kong. The employer said his child had been missing Lorie since she left Hong Kong.
Lorie decided to return because she also missed the child and her friends in Hong Kong. She was promised a rest day on Sunday and to avoid having quarrels she and her employer have agreed to communicate through WhatsApp. She maintains she is now happy with the new arrangement.

Ang pride d makakain..What we need is work to support our family back home..So we must be patient..It’s our choice to come here and work..
Shirley Caperina 100%correct
Ilagay sa tama ang paggamit ng pride.. Hndi nmn nkakababa sa dignity nya yung sumang ayon syang bumalik bagkus nagpataas pa kasi meaning na mabuti syang worker sa kanila and that means na itreat kana ng ng mabuti for the second time around. Anong mapapala mo sa pagmamatigas!??
What a unique unusual situation but at least they each other a another chance..good luck girl

Hindi masama yung malaman mo na worthy ka sa isang nilalang, Dahil mahal sya ng bata, walang ibang gagawin ang magulang kundi maging masaya ang bata. Bakit naman hindi nya babalikan ang work with rules/agreement unlike before. Tama lang ang ginawa nya. Kase di sya mapapakain ng pride nya.
