The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has listed 24 countries where deployment of new overseas Filipino workers (OFW) is prohibited for 2018 – mainly to ensure their safety.
The Overseas Employment office released an advisory last month listing the countries and detailing the bans on hiring new workers from the Philippines – due largely to the lack of peace and order in those states, plus economic instability.
The countries where Filipinos are totally banned due to unstable security are Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan (except Khartoum and the Kenana Sugar Plantation in the White Nile), the Great Lakes Region (Rwanda and Burundi) in central Africa, plus Iraq, Syria, Yemen in the Middle East and Chechnya.
South Sudan, Libya and Ukraine were put under “Alert Level 2”, which only allows OFWs who have existing contracts to return to the host country.
Palau was listed – specifically to ban household service workers – because of poor work conditions and the local economic situation.
Some 12 countries which are not certified by the Department of Foreign Affairs were also listed. They are Afghanistan, Chad, Cuba, North Korea, Haiti, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Palestine, Somalia, Zimbabwe and South Sudan.

It is allowed in Koran to have sex with your slave but you have to compensate her. The word rape is not mentioned but By the word "SLAVE" alone do you think she can resist if she is a slave? Now a days because, of the expenses in hiring a maid which is estimated from 16K to 25K the employer’s perception is he bought a slave and he can do anything but the maid does not consider herself as a slave and can resist that is why you call it rape.

I live and work in Kuwait… Abuses that you mentioned are rare only. Domestic worker who come here should have stable and mature emotionally. There are some family who are strict with their domestic worker but many families are very generous and open to their employees. Some even sponsored the college education of their children. It’s open here, and they are tolerant to mixed gender together in public and workplace. There are Christian Churches Catholic, Evangilicals, Coptic or Orthodox. You just need to follow the laws when you are here. So that you will not encounter any problem. The turn over of expat nurses is not frequent because most will not resign till retirement especially to the Indian nurses and even more Filipinos do the same. So please don’t be biased against Kuwait and Kuwaiti’s because we are having a good life here. The poor Filipinos can afford or have access to buy the food and fruits and vegetables and even clothing that only rich people in the Philippines can enjoy.

Problema kc s mga bansa arab countries ang ideology nila n kpg ngttrabho ka s kanila as maid is slavery un, at ang nakalagay s book nila n legal ang rape kpg ikaw ay slave nila unless muslim ka rin.
