Police arrested a 35-year-old local man for allegedly assaulting his domestic worker on Saturday night with a hot-water bottle.
The employer surnamed Pang who lives in a flat at Luk Yeung Sun Chuen in Tsuen Wan in the New Territories asked his 36-year-old Filipina domestic worker to get a hot-water bottle for him at midnight, Oriental Daily reported.
The employer claimed the water in the hot-water bottle wasn’t hot enough and allegedly threw it back at her. However, the bottle’s stopper came out and the hot water scalded the domestic worker’s shoulder. Her skin immediately turned red.
The domestic worker called her friend and pleaded for help. Her friend then reported the case to police.
Police and paramedics arrived and sent the domestic worker to hospital for medical treatment and arrested the employer for alleged common assault and detained him for further investigation.

Maids fault? No. In d midnight of course anybody is in deep sleep already. Might be just awake and not aware of what she’s doing. It happens mistakes sometimes anyway

it is the maids fault. if she screwed the top of the water bottle tighter it would not have come off. the employer should fire her for not doing her job properly.
here in HK once ur employer assault or do bad to you.. the police will come to help.. sometimes we don’t even need the embassy to report our concern.. yes.. ur right every forest have its own snake.. poisonous and not.. just that HK belong to the not poisonous snake while in the middle east as what uve said belong to poisonous one.. even u contacted or report to the embassy they even sometimes ignored the dh… that’s why all our eyes are in middle east.. and thats the sad fact

HK has its freedom and here law is law and no one is above the law. FDH must know their rights especially when they are abused, dont keep silent, dont be afraid ask help and if proven guilty justice will be served.
Mga among abusado ang may ganyang ugali. Oras na nga ng pahinga mo uutusan kapa tapos kapag di nakontento sila pa yung may ganang magalit.
That animal need to be taught a lesson. This kind of employer need to be banned and block and never give them chance to employ a maid.
